Tommie Haglund is one of Scandinavia’s most distinctive and visionary composers. His music is marked by a profound sense of musical expression, emotional intensity, and a deeply personal artistic voice.

In the spirit of Tommie Haglund’s music and artistic vision, the Tommie Haglund Festival is proud to launch a new international composition competition. The competition seeks to encourage composers who, like Haglund, are prepared to follow their own artistic path and create music of depth, integrity, and powerful expression.

To celebrate the launch of this new prize, we are opening the competition for both brand-new works and works composed during the last three years, 2024–2026. The winner will be announced during the Tommie Haglund Festival in April 2027.
