Where the festival began

The first Tommie Haglund festival in Halmstad brought musicians and audiences together around the composer’s distinctive musical world. Two days at S:t Nikolai Church and Pingstkyrkan combined chamber music, solo works and conversations about music and creativity. Göteborg Opera Orchestra under Joachim Gustafsson closed the festival with soloists, local choirs and students from Halmstad School of the Arts. Haglund’s works shared the program with music by Berlioz and Delius.
