Music beyond borders

The 2022 festival brought Halland and Colombia together through major orchestral works and intimate musical encounters. Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá visited Halmstad and Falkenberg under Joachim Gustafsson. Haglund’s music took centre stage, including the new version of his First Symphony and the premiere of Making Something out of Nothing, with lyrics by Per Gessle. Chamber music, folk music and conversations about creativity and listening broadened the program, with preliminary events starting on 19 April.
